A self-taught UAV and robotics specialist with international experience in Mars rover competitions and a strong focus on high-performance drones, custom battery packs, and STEM-driven innovation—founder of Robotonbd.
I’m T M Al Anam, a passionate UAV and robotics enthusiast with deep expertise in drone systems, battery technology, and autonomous machines. My journey has been largely self-taught—driven by relentless curiosity, hands-on learning, and a desire to build what others only imagine.
As the team leader of the UIU Mars Rover Team, I had the privilege of competing in prestigious international events like the Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC) in Turkey and the University Rover Challenge (URC) in the United States. These experiences not only sharpened my technical and leadership abilities but also immersed me in cutting-edge robotics and space exploration. I’m also a proud member of The Mars Society, which continues to fuel my interest in interplanetary systems and exploration.
Alongside robotics, I’ve achieved notable success in the UAV domain—designing and building drones that have won multiple national competitions. From high-endurance quadrotors to heavy-lift X8 platforms, my designs emphasize innovation, reliability, and real-world performance. I also specialize in custom battery pack design tailored for robotics and drone applications—balancing high-discharge rates with long runtime efficiency.
Today, I lead Robotonbd, a company dedicated to empowering makers, students, and professionals with high-quality tools for drones, robotics, and STEM education. Whether it’s engineering a Mars rover, powering a long-range drone, or mentoring a new team.
I build with purpose, and I build to inspire.
As the founder of Robotonbd, I have been leading the design, development, and commercialisation of FPV drone technology and robotics solutions. My role involves hardware prototyping, embedded systems, and business development to provide high-quality drone components and automation solutions to hobbyists and professionals.

In 2014, I founded the HGHS Drone Team with five of my friends, aiming to build our own drone while we were in Class 9. Our goal was to compete in the 2015 National Science Fair. After months of research and development, we successfully flew our first drone in March 2015. At that time, we were the third team in Bangladesh to build and fly a drone—and the first-ever school students to achieve this milestone. Our efforts paid off when we secured first place in our district at the 2015 National Science Fair, marking a significant achievement for young innovators in the field of robotics and aerial technology.
